An Update…Part 1

My blog posts have been slightly sporadic (and really random) recently and I thought you probably deserved an explanation as too why.

July started with teaching French students, from there I went off on tour with Jim Bailey. I also managed to squeeze in a computer service for one for my friends. That was followed by meetings, filming and plenty of coffee before driving good friends Delirious to the airport and teaching started again. The weekend bought Pete’s wedding and Rosie doing Race for Life (which I’ve already blogged about).

The last few days? Well, 17 July was my birthday, and while it wasn’t a big thing I had a good day celebrating with family. On the 18th Rosie took me over to Brighton to spoil me - and I can honestly say I feel spoilt. The 19th signaled a return to teaching and somehow also managed to fit in helping Rosie’s mum out, setting up the Ford’s wireless internet and joining my fellow Slam leaders for the last Slam ever.

So today, it’s been interesting! I’ve been teaching (again) and had an interesting conversation with the head of IT at Northbrook College and as a result was told to submit my CV as there’s a job in IT support available from the end of August. Then I headed over to pick up the keys for the transit van so I can pick Delirious up from the airport. I also spoke to Tre from onehundredhours and I’m heading off to Soul Survivor’s Momentum festival on Sunday to have a chat with them about some stuff.

And so onto next week. I’m teaching again on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday then I’ve got an interview for the admin job at Arun Community Church. Thursday brings some more contract IT work with LA:UK. Friday should be a day off and Saturday brings another wedding.

I think that’s an update from the world of Dave
